Lifelong Learners are Lifelong Leaders

Have you ever noticed that most lifelong learners have a list?
– A language you’ve always wanted to speak.
– A musical instrument you swear you’ll start “soon.”
– A skill, hobby, certification, writing project, or deep-dive topic that keeps getting bumped… not because you don’t care, but because life is loud and busy.

That’s why we’re launching The Owl Club — a free, informal accountability group for lifelong learners, hosted by our resident owl mascot, Quill 🦉 (keeper of good intentions and gentle nudges).

What it is:
A small group of peers who each choose their own learning goal and then meet to:
– set goals (inspired by The 12 Week Year)
– share progress
– swap ideas and resources
– encourage each other in a positive, low-pressure way

The Owl Club (guided by our wise mascot, Quill) is a friendly, informal accountability circle for lifelong learners who want to turn good intentions into steady progress. We’re using ideas from The 12 Week Year to keep things simple and motivating: you pick your own learning goal, you choose a few small weekly actions, and you track progress in a way that feels encouraging—not heavy.

What it’s not:
Not homework. Not tests. Not perfection.
Just a supportive structure that helps you finally move from “someday” to “I’m doing it.”

This isn’t a class, and it’s not a competition. Everyone works on their own topic or project, and the group becomes your peer-powered boost: a place to share wins, troubleshoot obstacles, swap resources, and get the kind of supportive nudge that helps you keep going when life gets busy.

How it works
Discord community for simple check-ins, wins, and friendly encouragement
Monthly Zoom call to report progress from the last month and set/revise goals for the next
Everyone works on their own topic/project (piano, Spanish, photography, history, coding, writing—anything!)

Cost
Free. The only “fee” is showing up for yourself (and cheering on others).

If you’ve been putting off something you really want to learn, consider this your sign.
Join the Owl Club and let’s make steady progress together — one month at a time.

We’ll have a Discord community for light check-ins and encouragement, plus a monthly Zoom call to celebrate progress, refine goals, and set the next month’s focus. To kick things off, we’re hosting a no-commitment introductory session where you can meet others interested in the group, hear how it works, and leave with a clear, doable plan for your next 30 days—whether you join the club or simply borrow the framework.

If you’re the kind of person who loves learning (and you’ve got a goal waiting in the wings), come check it out. Lifelong Learners are Lifelong Leaders—and your “someday” skill deserves a spot on your calendar.

Note, this event will be held on zoom only.
